1. i'm a geology student and therefore i like rocks.
2. i am completely ambidextrous. (though i usually write with my right hand because everyone complains at me when i write with my left and they're all right handed so we crash into each other)

4. i am the messiest person living in this house. (my room is a mess... i really hope einstein was right when he said "if a cluttered desk is a sign of a cluttered mind, of what, then, is an empty desk a sign?")
5. my wardrobe contains 85% black stuff. (the rest is generally of the non vibrant coloured variety)
6. i'm related to sir isaac newton. (seriously, i am)
7. i write many, many stories, hopefully you guys will one day read.
8. i have never had a pet. (my dad's allergic to fur)
9. i play cello, trombone, piano, bass, and bagpipes.
10. i'm reading lord of the rings right now, i read it every year. (and the hobbit is coming out next month... uber excited

i recently saw someone get hit by a train. i watched the blood flow sideways down the windows like rain. i was sat near the front of the first carriage and i doubt that i would have noticed anything if i had sat further back. and yet i saw the scene from a distance, separated from myself in an act of preservative self consciousness. but for the train driver, i can't even begin to imagine what it must have been like.
apparently the average train driver will hit at least two people in their working lives. it can take around a mile for a passenger train to stop once it's at full speed, and over 2 miles for a full freight train, so there is no c
